Alaina is Recruitment and Communications Coordinator at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. At CU Denver, Alaina develops and implements Slate application communications, and providesSlate training and support services for programs, schools, and colleges. She also manages theCRM system and maintains each program’s automated messaging. She develops Graduate School marketing strategies, marketing materials, and advertisements. Alaina travels locallyand nationally to recruitment events to inform prospective graduate students about CU Denver| Anschutz graduate and professional programs.
Alaina demonstrates a passion for nonprofit work. She serves as the Vice President of Marketing on the Board of Directors for the PHACE Syndrome Community, and advises finance and philanthropy for collegiate Alpha Chi Omega sorority chapters at Butler University and Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis.
She holds a Master of Arts in applied communication at Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis. Her undergraduate degrees are in graphic design and communication from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri.

Alaina spent her years at IUPUI researching interpersonal communication in a variety of studies. Her longest and most fruitful study was on professional opposite-sex friendships made at work. She presented this research at the National Communication Association Convention in November 2018.
