We would like to invite you to participate in a study on opposite-sex friendships made in a professional setting. This study is being done by Alaina Leverenz, a student in the Applied Communication MA program at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, under the guidance of Dr. Maria Brann through the graduate applied communication studies program at IUPUI.
This is an online questionnaire that takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. To be eligible to participate in the study, you must be 18 years of age or older, a biological male or female and identify as heterosexual. You must also have formed a friendship with the opposite-sex in a professional setting such as: work place, membership organization, professional networking event, conference, and/or academic setting.
